What We Do
Holequest provide a wide range of services including ground investigation, well drilling, pumping equipment design and installation, geothermal systems, ground anchors, structural repairs, private water supply assessments and more.
We operate throughout Scotland and northern England and beyond. We have been active from as far north as Haroldswick in Shetland to as far south as Dorset. Our marine services have even been deployed as far away as the Falkland Islands!

Holequest operate from premises in Galashiels in the Scottish Borders.
We have dedicated offices, training areas, storage and maintenance facilities. We care about our staff and make sure there we have the right facilities for every member of our team. Especially in the worst of our Scottish weather!

From Small Beginnings …
Holequest was established as a specialist geotechnical contractor and incorporated as a company in 1974 with the purpose of undertaking ground investigation and associated geotechnical works.
We then expanded to provide private water supply systems and in later years geothermal heat recovery boreholes. Demand resulted in the provision of foundation services and solutions to geotechnical problems and so our portfolio expanded to include solutions to settlement, general remedial works and structural strengthening, ground anchoring and structural anchoring.
This naturally led to the provision of an all-in service to assist in resolving clients’ problems – covering investigation, design and construction of remedial and new works.
